Who is Michele Gantz?img_20160329_093517

In my time on this Earth, I have always been intrigued by the written word. As a child, I was always a strong reader. As I grew older, I found other hobbies, that was until I was introduced to Edward Cullen, yes, I was a Twihard! I loved the Twilight Saga very much and opened my eyes back to the Young Adult book world. I was ravenous again, reading any YA book I could get my hands on. This eventually lead to the inevitable right? Fifty Shades of Grey entered my world, and while I, like many, enjoyed it. But I was left thinking, wow, the romance genre really has changed, and I like it!! I began paging through Amazon desperately searching for books. Then I discovered book blogs and my world was done.

I eventually became a reviewer for a blog, and couldn’t have been more thrilled. I discovered a love within myself for dark, dangerous antiheroes that could be found within the pages of books. This amazing indie book world introduced me to some of my now best friends, opened my eyes to amazing authors, and has turned into a career that I know love. After reviewing for another blog and helping with blogging duties, I craved running my own blog, and with the help of some of the most amazing women, we created #Minxes Love Books. Silly name as it may seem, we had fallen in love with Jaimie Roberts writing, and we were known for creating funny hashtags in her street team. She began calling us her #Minxes, so we KNEW when we started a blog, that it just had to be that! We have grown a following and love what we do!! Now, join me as I enter into the world of authorship. I honestly cannot wait to share this story as these characters have been screaming in my head for years for me to tell their story.

What motivated you to write your first novel?

It really was just a dream I always had. I was always an avid reader, and thought I could construct a story. I’m glad I pursued it because it really has become a passion of mine.

What strange things do you do when you write?Do you listen to music? Watch television? Eat Cheetos?

Hmm…. Well I have have music. I switch POV’s often, and when I do the music must change. Other then that I feel I’m pretty boring!!

fb_img_1472782026559What was your greatest challenge writing this story and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge is self editing. I tend to stop and want to reread what I wrote and start editing it right away. I have begun writing in separate documents, opening a new document every time I start writing for the day. At the end, I bring them all together.

If you could spend the day with one of the characters in this book, who would you choose and what would you do?

Gage, hands down. He’s the baddie from my debut novel, Entwined Souls. I love his don’t give a *beep* attitude. We would totally hunt and kill people. Oh, and maybe torture Amia and Hunter for fun!

What’s next for you and your writing career?

Right now, I’m working on Bleeding Souls, book 2 of The Soulmates Series. This will be Gage’s  book in a lot of ways, his story. While working on that, my new project Sterling, a story of a sociopath and his therapist who falls for him. This story grabbed me by hair, dragged my to my computer and poured from me.

What inspires you? Where do you get your ideas?

Honestly, everywhere. Sterling came to me after watching Suicide Squad. Entwined Souls was a dream. Bleeding Souls was from a song. I mean, basically the characters the jump in my head and scream at me until I write.

What is something you are not good at doing?

Honestly? Focusing on one book. My characters could all crossover because they’re always fighting in my head.

What message do you want readers to get from reading the book?

That, no matter what, love makes you a better person. Not just romantic love, but friends, family and anywhere. One of my favorite relationships in my book is Belle and Amia, they are best friends and honestly Belle makes her more grounded, human. Despite everything that goes on. Love is all you need.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Watching TV. I actually wrote most of Entwined Souls while binge watching Supernatural (Hunter is inspired by Dean, that’s why Amia smells like pie lol!) And I hated it… but it was what worked for whatever reason.

What isfb_img_1472782038430 the best piece of writing advice you’ve ever received?

Just get the first draft down. Quit editing and write.

What are your favorite characters that you have created? Gage and Sterling. Gage being a perfect badass vampire. He’s everything I wanted my vampire to be. Sterling is the sociopath I’ve always wanted to read about. He will have zero redeeming qualities and they’re will not be a HEA.

What is one piece of advice you would give to your teenage self?

Wow. That’s tough. Basically, not to jump right into college. I graduated high school at sixteen and jumped right into college it was a huge mistake.
